WHAT IS FI SCOUTS?
FI Scouts is an app to keep track of your personal finances in terms of net worth, how much you save each month and how close you are to becoming financially independent and retire early, should that be your wish.
The app helps you by letting you very easily enter this data as often as you want, and shows your progress with bold numbers and stunning charts. It breaks down your FIRE journey into easily achievable milestones and cheers you to the finish line.
FI Scouts lets you track your net worth, FI number and your savings rate as often as you need to. Unlike many other services, all data entry is entered manually for security reasons, and your data stays safe and private. We do not hook up to 3rd-party services at this point, but will consider it if that’s what our users want.
The app can help you find your FI number and figure out when you can retire, if that’s what you want given your current income and expenses. The app includes financial calculators with pre-filled data that is easily adjustable to help simulate your financial choices.

- Calculators and projection See how your financial future might change by increasing your net worth contributions or how long your current net worth might last given your annual expenses.
- iCloud Syncing All data is automatically synced between your devices using the same iCloud account.
- Privacy and Security Unlike many other financial apps, we require absolutely no account and we do not rely on 3rd-party services to import your data. Anything you enter into the app is fully private for your eyes only.
- Accessibility We strive to make this app accessible to everyone, by utilizing system accessibility features.

PRICING
FI Scouts is currently free, with no feature-unlocking in-app purchases or subscriptions. Users can choose to support our future work by donating via the Tip jar in the app. FI Scouts will be a universal app for all platforms [when supported].
RELEASE DATE
FI Scouts was released on Monday, June 14th, 2021.
AVAILABILITY AND LOCALIZATION
FI Scouts will be available in all countries that the App Store supports. The app is fully localized for Denmark and English speaking countries, with more languages to follow. Please reach out if you can help with this.
ABOUT US
FI Scouts was designed and developed by Liz Brenner and Christian Mitteldorf, and is owned by the Mitteldorf company based in Denmark. We began this project in June of 2020, and spent nearly a year gathering insights from the industry and community, designing, planning and developing the app. Read more about us here.
